Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, who is running for president under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has pleaded with the people of Nigeria to maintain their faith in his party.
This was something that Tinubu mentioned while he was giving a speech in Owo on the occasion of the burial of Grace Akeredolu, who was the mother of Rotimi Akeredolu, the governor of Ondo.
He stated that the APC would be more effective in its efforts to better the lives of Nigerians.
“Thank God, all of us are still here. It’s possible that the expectations you have are unrealistic or inadequate. “Failure is something that nobody wants,” the former governor of Lagos said.
You can’t just give up on us like that. We shall do better. We will make a contribution to whatever improvement it is that you desire.
The contender for president mentioned that Akeredolu’s mother left behind a significant legacy.
We will make a contribution to whatever improvement it is that you desire. “Mama has shown us great grace by assuring us that she would not be the one to lay us to rest,” he said.
“She left behind the most valuable legacy possible with a life that was packed with accomplishments.”
On the other hand, President Muhammadu Buhari, who was represented at the event by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, stated that the life of Akeredolu’s mother is something that should be celebrated.
“Today is a day filled with a lot of happiness. We have now arrived at the point when we can commemorate one of the most important legacies. Because of all that Mama has accomplished, now is the time to celebrate her,” he explained.
The life of Grace Akeredolu is one that ought to be commemorated and honored. She outlived her husband by 30 years, but they both passed away at the age of 90. She was the parent who brought up her children. She put in a lot of work to make sure her four sons turned out okay.
“She did pretty well indeed. We owe it to God to give thanks, for not only did she raise her children in a responsible manner, but also every one of them has achieved great things.
