Peter Okoye, also known as Mr. P, is a veteran singer and musician who has responded to a video in which his colleague, Seun Kuti, refers to Peter Obi as “an opportunist who cannot rescue Nigeria.” Mr. P is also known as Psquare.
In a recent conversation with ‘TheMicOnPodcast,’ Seun claimed that the only people who can save Nigeria from its political predicament are the people of Nigeria.
Kuti referred to the presidential candidate of the Labour Party as “the internet’s favorite,” and he asserted that even if the candidate were to win the election, it was possible that Nigeria would not be saved from its current difficulties.
After failing to win the primary election for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the Singer also referred to Obi as “an opportunist who built a movement.”
Seun also ridiculed the members of PSquare known as Peter and Paul Okoye, who have been quite loud in support of Peter Obi and trying to convince people to vote for him.
According to him, Mr. P asserts that he is aware of a remedy to the issue that is currently being experienced throughout the nation. However, the same Peter Okoye has previously entertained wealthy businessmen and political figures by hosting dinners and performing for them.
His words;
“He hasn’t had the time because he started too late. You can’t be telling me that just because you lost PDP primaries 18 months before the election, you suddenly started a movement, and you have a plan for the country,” he said.
“No, that’s opportunism. And it’s not an opportunist that will deliver Nigeria—not jumping on Labour Party. The Labour Party has a socialist structure. Peter Obi is a capitalist. Where are they going?”

Mr. P rushed to social media to criticize Kuti, and it would appear that he was incensed by the attitude that his colleague held regarding Obi.
Peter took a number of potshots at Kuti on Twitter, all the while advising him to learn how to control his anger and behave appropriately.
