Burna Boy, who is widely considered to be the most popular singer on the African continent, has been recognized with four nominations for the Soul Train Awards.
On addition to receiving a nomination for “Best R&B/Soul Male Artist,” “Song of the Year,” “Video of the Year,” and “Best R&B/Soul Male Artist,” Burna Boy, who is a dominant force both on the African continent and in the international scene, also received a nomination for “Video of the Year.”
In 2021, Wizkid and Tems’ collaboration on the song “Essence” was recognized with five nominations. For the song “Essence,” which was performed by the phenomenal singers, nominations were submitted in the following categories: “Song of the Year,” “Video of the Year,” “The Ashford and Simpson songwriter’s award,” and “Best Collaboration.” Despite this, the two performers were able to take home the trophy for “Collaboration of the Year” for their performance as a duet on “Essence.”
The event for the 2022 Soul Train Awards will take place in Las Vegas on November 13 of that year. Deon Cole, an American comedian and actor who has won multiple awards, will serve as the event’s host.
