The Google Play Store has a dedicated section that lists all the apps currently installed on your phone. The section also shows all previously installed applications. If there are no apps installed on your phone in the Google Play Store, you can easily get them back as shown here. 1. Restart your phone
If the “My Apps & Games” section is missing or not working properly in the Play Store, try restarting your Android phone or tablet. Press and hold the power button on your phone until you see the menu. Tap Restart or Shut Down, depending on the available options.
2. Look elsewhere
The “My Apps & Games” section was available at one point under the three-bar icon in the Play Store. If you can’t find it there, just tap on the profile picture icon in the top-right corner of the Play Store. All options present in the left sidebar have been moved to this menu. Click “Manage Apps and Device”.
You’ll see a revised screen of what was available in previous versions of the Play Store. You now have Play protection, updates, storage, app sharing, and ratings and reviews all in one screen on the Overview tab. If you want to manually update all applications, press the “Update All” button. Alternatively, if you want to see available updates and update them one at a time, tap “View Details” in the “Available Updates” section.
Likewise, you might think that the Library option from the Play Store is missing, but it isn’t. It has just been renamed and transferred. Tap Manage next to the Overview tab at the top. For those who don’t know, the Library section contained all previously installed applications.
To see all the previously installed apps, first tap the Manage tab. You’ll see various filters at the top. By default, the Installed filter is selected, so you’ll see all installed applications. Tap the Installed filter and select “Not Installed” from the options to view previously installed applications. Simply put, the Google Play Store didn’t remove the “My Apps and Games” section. Renamed (and moved) to “Manage Apps and Devices”.
3. Clear cache and data
If you get errors such as “Problems Found”, “Error Checking Updates” or “Pending Download in Play Store”, you need to clear the cache and Play Store data. This will not uninstall any app from your phone or delete its associated data. However, you’ll lose your Play Store settings, which can be reconfigured later.
Follow these steps to clear cache and Play Store data.
1. Open Settings on your Android phone.
2. Go to Apps or Apps and notifications and tap Google Play Store. If you don’t see it, click “See all apps” and then Google Play Store.
3. Tap “Memory & Cache” to view the space used by the Google Play Store and clear its cache. First, tap on “Clear Cache”. Restart your phone to see if the problem is resolved. If the problem persists, tap “Clear Data” in step 3. Then restart your phone.
Similarly, repeat the steps for Google Play Services and clear cache and data.
4. Uninstall updates from the Google Play Store
If it was a third party app, I would suggest uninstalling it. But since the Play Store is a system app, it cannot be uninstalled completely. However, you can delete your recent updates. It also helps to fix the problem with the Google Play Store not showing my apps.
To do this, go to “Settings -> Applications -> Google Play Store” on your phone as in the previous method. Tap the three dots icon at the top and choose “Uninstall Updates” from the menu.
5. Scan applications with Play Protect
You should also try to manually scan the applications with Play Protect. It also often prevents installed apps from appearing in the Play Store. To do this, open the Play Store and go to “Manage Apps and Device” by tapping the profile picture icon. Tap the first option that says something similar to Play Protect. Press the Scan button on the next screen.
6. Log in with the correct Google account.
If you are trying to check previously installed applications on the Play Store, you must log in to the correct Google account that was used to download those applications. To switch between Play Store accounts, click the profile picture icon on the Play Store home screen. When the menu appears, tap on the little down arrow next to your name and select the correct account.
7. Update the Google Play Store
Often, installed applications that do not appear in the Play Store may be caused by a bug in the Play Store. To fix this, you need to update the Play Store. Yes, you can also update the Play Store.
To do this, open the Play Store and tap on the profile picture icon. Select “Settings -> About”. Scroll down and tap the Play Store version once. If an update is available, the Play Store will update automatically. Alternatively, you can update the Play Store manually by installing its APK package.
