Nvidia Ansel is probably the best screenshot tool in the game, but how is it used and how does it work? Here, we will walk you through all the information you need about Nvidia Ansel and how to make the most of it to capture your gaming experience.
In this article, Niketrainers.com.co will tell you:
What is Nvidia Ansel and will it run on my system?
Nvidia Ansel is a proprietary feature of Nvidia’s software that allows users to take better screenshots, either by greatly increasing the resolution, taking 360 degree panoramas in-game, or getting free camera controls in games that they would not otherwise have done.
As this is a proprietary Nvidia feature, it will not work on AMD or Intel graphics cards. If you have a modern Nvidia graphics card with updated Nvidia drivers, you should have no problem using this feature in supported games.

Will Nvidia Ansel work with my games?
Nvidia supports taking screenshots on almost every game you play, whether it is specifically supported by Ansel or not. If the game you choose is compatible with Ansel, the Nvidia game filter app and standard screenshot features should always be available. Your game may not support features like free camera movement, but with Tekken 7 and The Witcher 3, features are not lacking.
To check if your preferred game is Ansel-compatible,go to Nvidia’s supported games page, and then click “Optimal Game Settings” in the top-right corner to display the drop-down menu. Select “Ansel” from this drop-down menu.
How to use Nvidia Ansel with compatible games
Fortunately, using Nvidia Ansel is fairly straightforward. First useAlt+Zto open your GeForce Experience software (if you haven’t installed it,download it here) overlap in-game.
Then click “Photo Mode” on the left side. Alternatively, you can turn Ansel on and off at any time with a single press ofAlt+F2during gameplay.
When Nvidia Ansel’s sidebar is activated, you’ll be presented with a lot of options. For your convenience, we have listed them and their clear text below.
Capture options
- Screenshot: Basic screenshot. It will even run on games that aren’t compatible with Ansel.
- Super resolution photo: allows you to take a screenshot and capture it in very high resolution, several times higher than the native resolution. Great for capturing images that you want to use for wallpapers or real-life prints and posters.
- 360 Photo Sphere: allows you to take a 360-degree panoramic photo.
Camera options
In addition to the camera options shown in the overlay, you can take control of a slow camera in supported titles with the gamepad or the mouse and keyboard in the main window, using a combination of motion keys / sticks and mouse gestures. Right mouse button / stick. .
- Field of view – Field of view for the screenshot, adjustable with a slider and measured in degrees.
- Roll: Enables dynamic image tilting, adjustable with a slider and measured in degrees.
Filters
Most of the filters are self-explanatory, but some are noteworthy. Filters such as Depth of Field or Remove HUD (beta) may not work properly in all Ansel-enabled games, especially games that do not offer features such as free camera controls. For example, in our own tests with Doom: Eternal Depth of Field is not working because it requires the game engine to allow access to depth data that Eternal does not provide.
