The Samsung keyboard that comes pre-installed on Galaxy phones can be customized in many ways. You can change its size, transparency, layout style, font size, modes and much more. To make matters worse, Samsung also allows you to change the color of the keyboard. We all know that the default combination of white and gray can get boring at times. You can change the color of your Samsung keyboard in four ways to make it look interesting.
In this article, Niketrainers.com.co will tell you:
1. Using the dark mode
One of the easiest ways to change the color of your Samsung keyboard is to change the phone theme to dark mode. The keyboard will automatically turn black when dark mode is enabled on your Samsung Galaxy phone.
To enable dark mode on your Samsung Galaxy phone, go to “Settings -> Display”. Tap the selection circle under Dark. Alternatively, you can turn on dark mode from the quick settings.
2. Use of Samsung keyboard themes
Samsung Keyboard has four built-in themes that you can use to change the color of the keyboard. You can choose between Light, Light Solid, Dark, and Dark Solid themes. Apart from the color, the difference is that the solid motifs hide the edges of the keys.
1. Open Settings on your Samsung phone.
2. Go to General Administration and select “Samsung Keyboard Settings”.
You can also open the Samsung keyboard settings by tapping the Settings icon (shaped like a gear) at the top of the keyboard.
3. Tap Theme in the Samsung keyboard settings. You will find available themes. Touch a theme to choose one for your keyboard. Use the “Show Keyboard” option at the bottom to preview the color of your Samsung keyboard. Note that if the theme option is greyed out, you need to turn off dark mode on your phone.
This method can be used to change the color of the Samsung keyboard to black without enabling dark mode on the phone.
3. Use of high-contrast colors
If simple light or dark keyboard colors don’t suit you, Samsung also offers high-contrast colors. Open Samsung keyboard settings from phone settings or directly from Samsung keyboard as shown in the above method. Tap the text “High contrast keyboard” in the Samsung keyboard settings. Turn on the switch next to Off. Select the desired high contrast color theme from the available options.
4. Use of Galaxy themes
Finally, if the above methods do not meet your requirements, you can change the color of the Samsung keyboard by applying the theme on your phone. Samsung supports themes natively, so you don’t have to rely on third-party apps. The downside to this method is that the applied theme will change the colors of the entire phone, not just the keyboard. If you don’t have a problem with this, you can try this method.
1. Open Settings on your Samsung Galaxy phone.
2. Touch Themes to go to the Galaxy Themes store. You will be prompted to log into your Samsung account, if you haven’t already. You will find a large collection of themes, both free and paid. Use the search bar to find the topic of your choice.
3. When you like a topic, tap on it to see more details. Check out the theme’s screenshots to see what it looks like in this theme. Finally, tap Download.
4. Wait for the theme to download. Click Apply to use the theme.
To find all downloaded themes or remove a theme, open Galaxy Themes by going to “Settings -> Themes” on your phone. Click the three-bar icon and select My Stuff. You can find all downloaded themes in the Themes tab.
If you want to go back to the original colors of the theme, tap the default theme. Touch any other theme to select and apply it.
When it comes to customization, Android phones don’t disappoint. Do you want to spice up your phone even more? You can customize almost anything to your liking, be it a launcher, keyboard, lock screen, or quick settings. It can even make your Android phone look like an iPhone.
