Maharashtra State’s Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is a world-class, globally competitive, and flexible higher education institution that responds to the people of Maharashtra’s individual, institutional, and socio-developmental requirements. The Maharashtra Government’s School Education and Sports Department (SESD) is accepting applications for Open Merit Scholarships in junior colleges from students who scored 60 percent on their SSC examination. MahaDBT – Application Process
The DTE scholarship can be applied for through the Aaple Sarkar DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) portal. It is a one-of-a-kind platform run by the Maharashtra government to assist individuals in taking advantage of the various initiatives offered on it. From the 2018-19 academic year onwards, an Aadhaar number will be required to apply for any scholarship initiative through the platform. Before filling out the scholarship application, applicants should read the guidelines carefully and familiarize themselves with all of the requirements. To apply for the scholarships via the Aaple Sarkar DBT portal, follow the procedures below:
Step 1: The candidate must first go to the Aaple Sarkar DBT Portal’s home page.
Step 2: Select the scholarship for which you wish to apply – “Post Matric Scholarship” – and then “New Applicant Registration” to create an account.
Step 3: Fill out the registration form and submit it.
Step 4: To finish the registration, candidates must validate their email address and mobile number. For email verification, click ‘Get OTP for Email ID Verification,’ and for mobile number verification, click ‘Get OTP for Mobile Number Verification.’
It’s important to note that both the email address and the phone number must be verified.
Step 5: Once you’ve successfully registered, log in with your email address and password.
Step 6: After logging in successfully, enter your Aadhaar number and continue.
Step 7: The candidates must validate their Aadhaar numbers. There are two different methods of authentication.
If the applicant’s cellphone number is registered with Aadhaar, they can select OTP as the authentication type. Biometric – If the applicant’s mobile number is not registered with Aadhaar, they can select Biometric as the authentication type.

Step 8: Click the “Send OTP” button after entering the Aadhaar number. The system verifies the aadhaar number and transmits the “OTP” issued by the system to the registered phone number. Click the “OK” button after entering the OTP. The applicant details received from UIDAI will be auto-populated in the personal details, address details, bank details, and other fields after successful OTP verification.
Step 9: Now the applicants can access the dashboard, which includes a list of available scholarships.
Step 10: To begin a new application, select the scholarship you want to apply for and click the “Apply” button.
Step 11: Fill out the profile with all of the required information.
Step 12: Once the profile has been changed, the applicants can go to the “All Schemes” area of the mahaDBT portal and look for the scholarship they want to apply for under the departments.
Step 13: A list of scholarship opportunities will emerge. Choose the scholarship for which you want to apply.
Step 14: A form for submitting an application will appear. Complete all required fields and upload all supporting papers (if not already uploaded).
Step 15: Last but not least, submit the application.
