Perhaps you are familiar with this scenario – you have been browsing the web and you have come across an interesting application that piqued your curiosity. Instead of getting up and looking for your phone, opening the Google Play Store, manually searching for the app, and clicking install, you can install the Android app right from your computer. In this post, we show you how to install a new app on your Android phone without having to grab it.
In this article, Niketrainers.com.co will tell you:
Before start
Before performing this feat, you need to make sure you are logged into the same Google account on your computer and Android phone. You have to line up these two in advance. If you’re not sure how to switch between Google accounts on Android, check out our previous article on how to easily do this.
This also only applies to apps from the Play Store.
How to install an Android application from a computer?
Was there a direct link after finding the app on the website? If so, click on it and go directly to the Google Play Store in your device’s browser.
If the website only listed the name of the app, you’ll have to open a new tab in your browser, go to the Google Play Store page, and use the search bar at the top to search for the app.
You can filter your results to see only the apps by selecting this category from the left menu. When you find the app you want to install on your Android, click on it to go to the app page.
Get to work
Check the details on the application page. Check if the application is compatible with your device (s). If so, you should see “This app is available for all your devices.”
Then find the green “Install” button and tap on it. If you used your Google account to sign in on multiple devices, you will be asked to choose which of those phones you want to install the new application on. Click “Install” again.
You will be prompted for your Google account password. Next, you need to choose your preference for when you want authentication to be required.
Whichever choice you make, you will always need to authenticate with a password when it comes to installing Android apps from another device.
After confirming your selection, a pop-up will appear on your screen stating that “the application will be installed soon on your device”.
Click OK and you should see a green “Installed” button on the app’s Play Store page.
You can then check your phone. You should see an application waiting for you there. Now all you have to do is touch it to run it.
Ending
The great thing about this method is that you can install the same app on multiple devices without having to put them all in one place and repeat the same repeating steps over and over again. Go back to the app page in the Google Play Store in your browser and click the “Installed” button. Select the next device on which you want to install the app, and so on.
